Funeral Services for Mary Ellen Sproul, age 81, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Nazarene Church of Isabella. The Reverend Nathan Twyman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Isabella Cemetery. Lunch will be served by the Ladies of the Isabella Nazarene Church starting at 12 noon, at the church. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be at Fairview Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2008, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm., and on Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Mary Ellen Sproul was born at home, on July 2, 1926, on a farm east of Isabella, to Dane and Hazel Wahl; and died on March 13, 2008, at her home near Isabella. She attended Golden Valley grade school and graduated from Fairview High School in 1945. Mary married Mark Sproul, of Isabella, on November 2, 1946. She raised five children and helped her husband farm. Throughout her life Mary was very active with farm work, 4-H, church, genealogy, and especially the Republican Party. Her hobbies included her family, gardening, photography, and painting.

Mary is survived by her husband, Mark, and daughter, Mary Roblyer, of the home; sons, Rex and Margaret Sproul and John and Barbara Sproul, of Isabella; Mark Jr. and Verna Sproul, of Harper, KS, and Bill and Peggy Sproul, of Sedan, KS., thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Wahl, of Soap Lake, WA, and Tom Wahl, of Moses Lake, WA. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Memorials can be made to the Hospice Circle of Love, in Fairview in Mary's memory.
