Memorial Services for: Mary Alice Steele, 69, of Fairview, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

There will be no viewing but friends may sign the register book at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Mary Alice Steele was born July 9, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas to Alfred Aden and Pearl May Marie (Murphy) Heuett and passed away September 15, 2008 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Mary grew up in Wichita, Kansas. She completed her high school education in Jay, Oklahoma. While raising her three children, as a single mother, she worked as a waitress and in a Laundromat. She married Carroll "Curly" Steele on April 11, 1979 and lived in Lawton, Oklahoma where she ran a fruit stand. Mary remained in Lawton after her husband died, then moved to Jay, Oklahoma and a few years later moved to Fairview. She remained in Fairview until her death. Mary enjoyed reading, camping, fishing and bingo.

She is survived by one son, Enix "Mike" Willson and wife Stephanie, of Fairview; two daughters, Vyronda M. Willson of Maryville, Missouri and Charlena M. Altizer of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; one brother, Carl J. Murphy; five grandsons, Charles Altizer, Michael Altizer, Donovan Harris, Trevor Harris and Cameron Harris; four granddaughters, Autumn and Cynthia Willson, A.J. Reynolds, and Olivia Harris; and five great-grandchildren, Laudie Hamilton, William Altizer, Braydon Altizer, Courtney Reynolds and Kayla Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, two brothers, one daughter-in-law; three grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary Alice Steele Memorial with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian.
