Obituary

Graveside services for Monette (Worley) Keeton, 91, will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Rusk Cemetery, east of Fairview, Oklahoma, with Dustin Ratzlaff officiating.  Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation for the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 on Sunday, June 22 and from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. for the friends at the Fairview Funeral Home.

Monette Keeton, a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend, passed away Saturday, June 14th, 2025, with her four children around her.

Mom, Grandma Mo, or Momo, as she was known to family, left behind four children, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Mom was born January 19th, 1934, in Powell, OK to Harold and Cora Southerland Worley. She graduated from Madill High School in 1952. Her family moved to Fairview, OK where she met and married the love of her life, Don Keeton.

Mom worked as a salesclerk in a grocery store at TG&Y, and at the fabric store in Fairview at various times. However, most of her life was devoted to being a loving homemaker and mother. She was a talented seamstress, always making clothes for the girls – even making clothes for their dolls.

Everyone would agree she was a disciplinarian – often threatening the kids with her yardstick – but there were very few times when the yard stick was used. The threat was enough.

Through all the years, Mom was ever-present – always supporting her family. Rarely did she miss ball games or activities, even driving four hours to cheer on her grandkids. This continued into her mid-eighties.

Mom was an avid bowler – bowling in leagues for many years and accumulating numerous trophies. Many of her best friendships were centered around the bowling alley.

Monette is survived by her four children: Teresa and husband Clark Miller, Tammie and husband James Broomfield, Doug and wife Julee Keeton, and Toni and husband Bob Broyles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Cora, her husband Don, her brother Ray, son-in-law Kent Ratzlaff, and her great-grandson, Jace Keeton.
