Memorial Services for Nancy Orene Meadows, age 59, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the United Methodist Church of Fairview. The Reverend Rich Redinger will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Nancy was born August 24, 1949, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Albert and Orene Jester and passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008.

Nancy attended school in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School. She participated in many pageants during high school.. Nancy and Walt Meadows were married in Wellington, Kansas, July 3, 1973. Nancy was 2nd runner up Mrs. Oklahoma in 1981. She worked for Major County Ambulance as an EMT. She had great compassion for others and opened her home to friends and family. Nancy was proud of all her daughters and especially her grandchildren. She also loved to garden and cook.

Nancy and Walt owned and operated the Queens Kitchen for 2 years when the girls were young. She also owned and operated her own beauty shop know as The Hen House. Nancy and Walt were also members of the Corp of Engineers. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary until Walt's death.

She is survived by four daughters, Angela and husband John Kennedy of Fairview, Beau and husband Claude Villeneuve of Washington State, Heather and husband LA Trudeau of Enid, and Audrey and husband Steve White of Oklahoma City; one brother, Stephen and wife Sammie Jester of Cheyenne Valley; 9 grandchildren, Zach and Mason White, Elijah and Kelsey Kennedy, Jennifer and Charlie Pearson, Jean Sebastien Villeneuve, John and Matthew White;1 great grandson, Tyson Kennedy.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Walt Meadows.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Heart Division with the funeral home acting as custodian.
