Services for Nicholas Gene Weems, 21, of Fairview, will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29th, 2011, at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene. Jason Quiring will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., family visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. that evening.

Nick was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on February 10, 1990 to Melissa Vione Weems and passed away December 25th, 2011 in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Nick attended school at Fairview. While in school he played football and was on the track team. After high school he went to work in the oilfield. He also worked as a CNA at Liberty Health Care. Nick loved to fish, hunt, go off roading, enjoyed camping, and being with family and friends.

Although life was short for Nick, he enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother and father, Melissa and Chad Durdin of Fairview; one sister Brandie and Andrew Whiteneck of Alva; one brother, James "JP" Peters of Kansas; Grandparents Judy and Bob Midyett of Fairview, Sammie and O.W. Durdin of Nixa, Missouri; Great-Grandmother Adeline Koehn of Fairview; two uncles, Darryl Weems of Fairview, Scotty Durdin of Canon, Colorado; two aunts, Amy Midyett of St. Joe, Missouri and Stacy Danner of Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Jackie Weems and Great-Grandfather Alfred Koehn.
