Nile McKee was born on March 22, 1915, the youngest son of George and Mabel (Smith) McKee. He departed this life to join family and friends in Heaven on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma.
Nile and Estella Bouse were united in marriage in 1938, thus beginning a life together. They were blessed with five children, George, Allen, June, Billy and Steve. Nile lived his life as a farmer raising wheat and cattle. They retired off the farm, leaving the boys to finish his work, and moved to town in 1977, where he became a regular coffee drinker and world problem solver at Sooner Co-op. Daily he drove out to the farms to make sure everything was going right by his standards, and always carried a fishing pole just in case. He enjoyed taking the R.V. to the lake where he always found someone to talk to. He loved God and his family and was always there with a helping hand and advice. He will be greatly missed but we know he was greeted with joy in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight sisters; three brothers; two sons, George McKee and Billy McKee; and two grandchildren, Julie Caruthers and Trent McKee.
He leaves behind his loving wife Estella; two sons, Allen McKee and wife Sherry, Steve McKee and wife Debby; one daughter June Caruthers and husband Dick; eight grandchildren, Terri Boyer and Don, Tammy Price and Dennis, Janet Hester and Chad, Carrie Dugger and D.J., Andrea Caruthers, Jillian, Colton and Trevor McKee; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview First Assembly of God Church.
