Raymond Boyd Carns, Jr.'s Obituary
Memorial Services for Raymond Boyd Carns Jr., 41, of Fairview, will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Trent Watkins will officiate. Per his request, Raymond was cremated. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
There will be no public viewing; friends may sign the register book at the funeral home.
Raymond Boyd Carns Jr. was born November 18, 1966 in Hollister, California to Raymond Boyd Carns and Patricia Mae (Cochran) Carns and passed away August 30, 2008 at this home in Fairview, Oklahoma.
Raymond as raised in Hollister, California and he graduated from Hollister High School in 1984. Following graduation Raymond continued to live in California and worked at a printing plant and also in construction. In 1998, he moved to Fairview, Oklahoma and lived with his sister Cathy Combs and her husband Boice. Shortly after his moved he went to work in the oil industry for a casing company, Power Tongs, and continued to work there for the next seven years. He moved to Enid, Oklahoma with his friend Roseanne Gomez and they were blessed with his son Bobby Ray. After a short time, Raymond returned to Fairview, met Pam Pheatt and was again blessed, this time with a daughter, Westlee Jo. Raymond went to work for PendPac as a raw materials handler where he continued to work until his premature death. Raymond was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Raymond truly loved life and enjoyed every minutes of it. He always enjoyed a cold beer (or 2) with his brother Robert. Raymond loved his family and friends and they will miss him.
He is survived by his five year old son; Bobby Ray, his two year old daughter; Westlee Jo, two brothers; Thomas Johnson of Hollister, California, Danny Johnson of Madera, California; and four sisters; Adella Johnson of San Juan Bautista California, Tammy Martinez of Merced, California, Cathy Combs of Fairview, Oklahoma, Donna Lopez of Stockton, California, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and his brother Robert Johnson.
Memorials may be made to Fresh Start Fellowship with Fairview Funeral Home Inc acting as custodian.
