Memorial services for Raymond (Dick) Dean Jinkens, 90, of Fairview, will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Dennis King will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Raymond (Dick) Dean Jinkens was born on August 20, 1927 to Jesse and Gertrude (Wymer) Jinkens in Fairview Oklahoma. He departed this life, of 90 years, on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Ok.

Dick served in the United States Army from December of 1945 until his discharge in March of 1947. Dick worked as a truck driver for Hallrens Turkey plant delivering turkeys to many states.

When it closed, he worked for Coast to Coast along with Max Jordan as an appliance repair man. After leaving Coast to Coast, he began farming and raising cattle with Max Jordan. Dick also volunteered many evenings as a Reserve Police officer for the Fairview Police Department, He was a member of American Legion in Fairview. He enjoyed cooking a Christmas meal for the Sheriff Department in Fairview. He loved getting together with them every year.

After retiring, Dick and his beloved Wilma enjoyed Polka Dances and went every weekend. He enjoyed making his homemade chicken n noodles at Longdale Gym. He was always making sure everyone had plenty to eat. Dick was blessed with a close friend, Ray Cohlmia and family from Oklahoma City. Dick would mow and help prepare Ray's lodge for 50 or more golf buddies just west of Dick's home. Dick had a special love for his dogs and his cattle. He will deeply be missed by his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents Jess and Gertrude (Wymer) Jinkens; his sisters Jessie Mae Jinkens, Laverda Geraldine; Son in Law Randy McDonald; and Granddaughter Michelle Jinkens.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his sweetheart Wilma Evans; children Gary and Doris Jinkens of Fairview; Joreta and Dennis Martin of Kingfisher, OK; Loreta and Lindell Peters of Enid; Eddie and Eileen Jinkens of Canton; Nancy and Cary Anthony of Aline; Ronnie Jinkens of Enid; Donnie and Susan Jinkens of Canton; Priscilla and Bob Shanks of Dayton, Kentucky; Connie and Bill Burns of Stillwater; Patricia and Donnie Bergmann of Beloit, KS; Donna Jinkens and friend Mel Rice of Beloit, KS; MaryAnn and Clint Wood of Clinton. Dick had 24 grandchildren, 58 great grandkids, and 6 great great grandkids. He also had many nieces, nephews, and friends.
