Funeral Services for Richard I. Fettke, 83, of Fairview, will be 10:30 a.m., June 1, 2011 at the Fairview United Methodist Church. Reverend Richert Redinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Richard Ivan Fettke was born September 17, 1927 in Alva, Oklahoma, to Herbert and Vera (Melear) Fettke. He departed this life on May 28, 2011 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Richard graduated from Wichita State University. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Richard married Peggy Major on December 29, 1952 at the Bethany Chapel in Enid, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three sons. He worked as an Electronics Engineer at Boeing Aircraft for 41 years. Richard was a very active member of the Fairview community. He belonged to the American Legion, King Hagen Post 51, the Fairview Lions Club, Methodist Men, and enjoyed several years of assisting with the Major County Historical Society Car Show. Richard was a member of the Fairview First United Methodist Church.

Richard is survived by his wife Peggy Fettke of Fairview; three sons, Robert and Angie Fettke of Wichita, Kansas, Thomas L. Fettke of Wichita, Terry and Carrie Fettke of Enid; two brothers, Merle Fettke of Alva, Paul and Cathy Fettke of Dallas, Texas; one sister Norma and DuaneWittmer of Colorado Springs, Colorado and seven grandchildren, Joshua Fettke, Jessica Fettke, Jeremiah Fettke, Brian Fettke, Sarah Fettke, Kolton Felix and Kinedi Fettke.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Vera Fettke; grandson Jonathan Fettke and sister-in-law Lorraine Fettke.
