Graveside Services for Richard Leon Moore, 56, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Bethel Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Wesley Peterman will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Richard Leon Moore was born December 18, 1951 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Melvin and Leoma Thornbrugh Moore and passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 in Dallas, Texas as a result of an automobile accident.

Richard was born in Fairview and attended school in Fairview until the 10th grade. He was an active member in FFA Richard graduated from Mountain View High School. After graduation Richard held many jobs including carpentry, yard maintenance and the oil field. During these jobs, Richard found his way to Dallas, Texas where he settled until his death. He was raised in the church from a young age and was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Richard loved animals and especially horses. He loved reading and was content as long as he had something to read.

Richard is survived by three brothers; Delbert and Clara Moore of Longdale, OK, Virgil and Barbara Moore of Canton, Texas, Gail and Ruth Moore of Ardmore, OK , and one sister Melva and Bobby Case of Enid, OK.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lois Charlene, Merle June and Maida Jean.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice, with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
