Memorial Services for: Robert David Johnson, 54, of Fairview, will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Kris Ewbank will officiate. Robert was cremated per his request. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Robert David Johnson was born July 10, 1954 in Huntington Beach, California to Thomas Lemar Johnson and Patricia Mae (Cochran) Johnson and passed away July 12, 2008 at the Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma.

There will be no public viewing; friends may sign the register book at the funeral home.

Robert was raised by his step-father Raymond B. Carns and his mother in Hollister, California. He graduated from Hollister High School in 1972. Following graduation Robert went to work at many locations around the United States. During his travels he became a chef and worked as a chef in several towns. Some of his favorite places he worked were in the casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin. Robert then worked at the Blarney Stone in Homestead, Florida; where he lived for many years until he became ill. In 2002 he moved to Fairview, Oklahoma to be close to family. Robert loved to cook, fish and have a cold beer (or 2). He also enjoyed girl watching! .

Robert was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

He is survived by three brothers; Thomas Johnson of Hollister, California, Danny Johnson of Madera, California, Raymond Carns of Fairview, Oklahoma; and four sisters; Adella Johnson of San Juan Bautista California, Tammy Martinez of Merced, California, Cathy Combs of Fairview, Oklahoma, Donna Lopez of Stockton, California, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Raymond Carns.
