There will be no service for Roberta F. Haudenshield, 84 of Canton.
Roberta Frieda Haudenshield was born on May 4, 1924 to Raymond and Lula Bell Johnston in Morehouse, Missouri and passed away March 19, 2009 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center.
Roberta was raised in Hillsboro, Illinois. She attended and graduated High School from Hillsboro High School. Roberta married Allen Haudenshield January 1, 1946 and to this union was born two children. Allen left for Europe in WWII shortly after their marriage. After WWII Allen returned and they moved to Indiana.
In 1953 they moved from Alliance, Ohio to Riverside, California. She worked for a psychiatrist in Riverside Medical Clinic and continued to work there for 16 years. In 1972 she started working for Dr. Johnson until he passed away. Robert then worked for Loma Linda University Hospital and 2 years later went to work for Dr. Laslo Varga. After she retired for two years she returned to work and started working for Mission Viejo Pediatric Group. Roberta retired again until she went back to work as a receptionist for Ingram Micro World Headquarters and continued to work there for the next 6 years. At the young age of 80 she finally retired and moved to Texas. Two years later she moved her family to Canton were she remained until her death.
Roberta was a member of the Presbyterian Magnolia Church in California. She was a past President of the Riverside County Medical Assistant Association and Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her son, Charles Haudenshield of Canton, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, three sisters, Bernice Bandy, Emjean Jackson and husband Roscoe, Mildred Bisset and husband Fred; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen Haudenshield and one brother.
