Memorial Services for Roger Grant Doane, 52, of Stillwater, formerly of Fairview, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend David Mendenhall will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Roger Grant Doane, 52, of Stillwater, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Stillwater Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1963, in Great Bend, KS, the son of B.G. and Carlene Ruth (Smith) Doane
Roger graduated from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Oklahoma with the class of 1981. He played football for the Bulldogs at McPherson College in Kansas after graduation. Roger work for the United States Gypsum Co at Southard, OK in the packing department. On October 23, 2005 he was united in marriage to Tina Justina Jackson in Fairview, OK and the couple made their home in Enid, OK. In 2011 Roger and his wife moved to Stillwater, OK. He was disabled and living in Stillwater at the time of his passing. Roger was involved in AA and enjoyed time with friends and family. Roger loved football and playing cards. He loved helping others and was a very forgiving, caring person.
He is survived by his wife Tina Doane of Stillwater, Clint and his wife Jennifer Jackson of Salt Lake City, UT; Candice Pritchard of Enid; his mother Carlene Remer of Fairview, OK, a brother, Ross Doane and his wife Lynn of Homestead, Oklahoma; and three sisters, Carla and her husband Brent Schultz of Okeene, Laura and her husband Jeff Hutton of Canton, and Barbara and her husband James Wedel of Fairview, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his father, B.G. Doane, stepfather Ed Remer, and a sister, Rebecca Carmack all of Fairview, OK.
Memorials may be made to the Roger Doane Memorial with the Fairview Funeral Home Inc at 221 North Main, Fairview, OK., 73737 acting as custodians of the fund.
