On May 28, 1983, Ron married Stasha Evonne Wilmott in Enid, Oklahoma. To this union, one son, Corey Wayne, was born. Corey was the apple of his father's eye. Ron was sure to always get Corey and his friends to high school rodeos and hunting trips no matter the miles or the late-night hours. The bond they shared was remarkable. Ron was a doting husband. He nursed Stasha back to health and took such great care of her during her illness. He was always scoping out new places to take her for a vacation.
Ron took great pride in spending time with his family. He loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events and play with his great grandchildren. Ron loved to fish and hunt He seldom missed a chance to go striper fishing at Lake Texoma with the guys. Ron enjoyed a good debate at the coffee shop and really like to razz OU fans. He rooted for the OSU Cowboys and would wear his OSU shirts on gamedays.
Ron's outlook on life was like no other. He very seldom had a bad day. Ron's laughter was infectious, a giggle that you couldn't resist joining. He never met a stranger, striking up a conversation was so easy for Ron. He was a kind and caring man who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
