Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held for Ruby at the Central Christian Church in Fairview on July 3, 2015 at 2:00 in the afternoon.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Central Christian Church.

Ruby Leota and her twin sister Ruth Leola were born on December 9, 1913, Northwest of Longdale, OK on the family homestead to Ross Ray Riley and Maude Alice Ling Riley. Ruby departed from this life on February 9, 2015 at the age of 101 years. Her dear twin sister, Ruth, passed away in 2014 at the age of 100 years.

Ruby and her siblings Zora, Ruth, Alice, and Allen all learned to work hard beside their parents. Education was a very important part of their lives. After supper their dad would set them down by the kerosene lamps at the kitchen table and help them with their homework.

Ruby, at a young age, followed her dad outdoors going with him to the fields. Times were hard and Ruby loved to tell many stories of their pioneer life. She was quite talented at memorizing poems and sayings from the Caper's Weekly for literary at Harmony School on Friday evenings. She also told of her ciphering matches with Alvin Ford, "If he got his choice first, he would always choose addition as he could always add multiple columns in his head, but if she got to choose she could beat him every time in subtraction, multiplication, or division." She graduated valedictorian of her class in 1930 at the age of 16. Ruby obtained her teaching degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State College at Alva, and taught in a one room school house West of Fairview. She met the love of her life at a box supper when Raymond Willard Woods bought her decorated box. Back then the young man buying the box supper shared it with the girl who made it. They married in 1934. Ruby not only became Raymond's wife but his bookkeeper in his wholesale/retail gas business in Fairview. They lived the rest of their lives in Fairview. They raised five children. They were involved in Fairview Schools attending many events of their children and grand children. They were members of both Fairview Sports Boosters and Fairview Band Boosters. Ruby taught the adult Sunday School Class at the Central Christian Church. She also was a member of Christian Women's Fellowship and the Bereavement Committee.

She always liked to tell stories and could recite many poems from her childhood. A few weeks before her death she could still repeat almost word for word Psalms 23. The last time she recited it the last line seemed to stand out. She kept repeating "I will live in the house of the Lord forever and ever and I will live in the house of the Lord forever and ever and ever and ever."

Ruby leaves behind her sons: Ray and his wife Norma Woods, Donald and his wife Bobbie Woods, Ken and his wife Vicki Woods all of Fairview, daughter Margaret Castleberry of Enid, and daughter-in-law Linda Woods, Phoenix Arizona, twelve grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Those going before her were her wonderful husband Raymond, her loving son Robert, baby daughter Joyce, her parents, and siblings.
