Funeral Services for Ruth P. "Ruthie" Irwin, 69 of Bella Vista, Arkansas, will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10:30 am at The First United Methodist Church of Fairview. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Ruthie was born July 9, 1941 to Sam J. and Susie (Schmidt) Boehs and passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at her home in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Ruthie grew up near Fairview and attended school at Orienta, where she graduated from 8th grade. She got her high school diploma through correspondence school. Ruthie married David Irwin, May 12, 1972 and made their home in Fairview until October 2002 when they moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Ruthie worked as a bank teller for 40 years while in Fairview and in Bella Vista and loved selling Mary Kay products for more than 39 years. She truly loved both of her jobs because she was able to visit with her friends and customers.

She is survived by her husband, David Irwin of the home; three sisters, Susie Schmidt of El Dorado, Kansas, Dorothy Stone of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Esther Fields and husband Larry of Taloga, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jonathan Boehs and wife Francyne of El Monte, California and Jacob Boehs and wife June of Johnson, Kansas.

Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Calvin, Wilmer, Daniel, Sam Jr. and Franklin; two sisters, Annie Boehs and Bertha Rothenhoefer; three sister in laws, Martha, Evelyn and Leona; two brother in laws, Louie Schmidt and Lewis Rothenhoefer.
