Funeral Services for Samuel Ray Voth, 71, will be February 14, 2012, 1:30 pm at the Central Christian Church. with Rev. Ronnie Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Sam was born to Reuben and Marie (Janzen) Voth at home on the Voth family farm September 26, 1940 and died on February 10, 2012 in Enid, Oklahoma. He grew up there and attended South Golden Valley, Progressive School and then moved on to Fairview High School where he graduated in 1958. Following high school Sam joined the U.S Army and served his country working Recon while stationed in Germany. After completion of his enlistment Sam was honorably discharged. Upon returning to Fairview he went to work for the City of Fairview. He worked for the city for several years then worked in the oilfield for a short time. Then Sam went to work farming and ranching for 5B's Farms and the Fairview Sale Barn. In April 29, 1982 Sam married Geneva Beavers. He maintained a small herd of cattle of his own. His hobbies include working in the garden and hunting. It has been said that he was very good at it as well. Sam loved spending time having fun with his friends at the coffee shop two or three times a day. As a young man he broke horses until he got hurt and couldn't but was a proud member of the Fairview Wranglers for many years.

Sam is survived by wife, Geneva, children, Retta Donovan and husband Pat of Amarillo, TX, Reyna Keltch and husband Charles of Longdale, OK and Stacie Buckmaster and husband Scott of Owasso, Oklahoma ; grandchildren, Tawna and Tamry Widney, Jordyn Buckmaster and Colbie Bryant; sister Vera Bouse and husband Joe of Harrah, OK and one brother, Charley Voth and wife Connie of Pyatt, Arkansas.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Leon, Leroy, and Asa John.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Fellowship Home with the Fairview Funeral Home Inc acting as custodians.
