Sally K. Lohrenz went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 1, 2012. Sally was born to Henry and Katrina Friesen April 12, 1930. She was the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters. She was raised on a farm near Meade, KS. Sally graduated from Meade Bible Academy.

She met her husband and best friend, Gene Lohrenz, while he was working for Isaac Custom Harvesting. They were married on April 18, 1959 In Meade, KS. They have enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Mom and Dad, thank you for showing us what a good marriage should be. They lived on their family farm near Orienta. As a farm wife and mother, Sally was a "master" of many jobs. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook and baker and will be remembered for her pies and zwieback. She also enjoyed cooking for the kids at Fairview Elementary School. She enjoyed attending many of her children and grandchildren's school programs, concerts and events, especially "Grandparent's Day" at Emmanuel Christian School. She was so proud of her grandchildren. Mom loved teaching Sunday school at Saron Mennonite Church. Gene and Sally loved the adventures with the Youth Group at Saron, especially the boating trips to Canton Lake. Sally loved family gatherings and helping others. Of all her accomplishments, Sally's greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more.

Sally is survived by her husband, Gene. Her children, Norma and David Cutler and Mike and Ellen Lohrenz; five grandchildren, Zac, Caitlin, Holly, Tiffany and Taylor. Her sisters Helen, Elizabeth and Ann.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Katrina. Her brothers Henry, Abe, John and sisters Katie and Martha. She is without question in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, reunited with her beloved mother, father, sisters and brothers.
