Sue Anne Ake, was born August 9 ^th , 1935 in Oklahoma City to Arley and Susie May and passed for this life on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 84.  Sue grew up in Yukon and Kingfisher area and graduated from Hennessey High School in 1953 as valedictorian.  She continued her education at OSU, then known as Oklahoma A & M, graduating in 1956 with honors.

She married her husband, J.L. Ake, in 1957 and they moved to Wichita and made their home.  The couple was blessed with one son Arlan.

Sue started working at Cessna and later went into education. She loved bowling, and persuaded her husband to bowl, and liked to travel and meet new people. Everybody loved her and she loved everybody. She was an avid reader, seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. Her son and grandson were her pride and joy.

Survivors: husband, J. L. Ake; son, Arlan and his wife Brenda Ake; sisters, Arlene and Carolyn; grandson, Aaron Ake and his fiancé Hollie Neighbors).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for a cure to Breast Cancer, to Susan G Komen, 902 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67214, with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodians of the funds.
