Memorial services for Travis Elwood Reeves, 87, of Fairview, Oklahoma will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Fairview Central Christian Church in Fairview Oklahoma.  Reverend Jeff Baker will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Arkansas.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Travis Elwood Reeves was born July 6, 1935 to Clyde Raymond and Gladys Ula (McKenzie) Reeves and went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2023, following a brief illness.  Travis grew up in Leola, Arkansas and lived there until he joined the Army in 1958.  In 1960, Travis married Betty Carolyn Halpain in Brush Creek, Arkansas.  While still in the service and stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, Regina Ann was born.

Travis was Honorable Discharged from the Army in 1962 and they moved to Melvern, Arkansas where he worked in a saw mill for the next four years.   Travis and his family then moved to Leola and then California.  It was while Travis and Carol lived in California they had two more girls, Lisa and Telina.  They then moved back to Leola and finally to Fairview, Oklahoma where he lived the rest of his life.

He worked as a mechanic for two different oil field companies during his life in Fairview, Nichols Casing and Power Tongs where he worked until he retired.  After retirement, he spent as much time as he could with his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and his dog Coco.  Travis was a huge Thunder Fan and watched many games.  He was a loving father and grandfather that will be truly missed.

Travis is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Birch and Telina and husband Tony Cheney, eight grandchildren, Shandra, Bobbie, Travis, Kyndyll, Greyson, Kingston, Tasha, and Derik as well as his 17 Great Grandchildren.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and one daughter Regina Loudermilk.
