Funeral Services for Victor Nile Dow, 75, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Midway Assembly of God Church southwest of Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Orville White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Orion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Victor Nile Dow was born March 16, 1932 to Earnest and Evaline Dow at Dane, Oklahoma, west of Fairview.

Victor attended Dane Rural School. In 1952 he married Clarice Boston and in 1953 they moved to their home southwest of Fairview where they lived for the next 54 years until his death on November 13, 2007. To this union two children were born, Douglas Nile and Sheila Yvonne.

During their lives together, Victor and Clarice farmed and raised cattle. He was also a certified watermelon seed grower.

He attended the Midway and Elm Grove Assembly of God Church(s).

He is survived by his wife Clarice; his son Douglas and Brenda Dow of Fairview; his daughter Sheila and Ed Short of Alva; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; his brothers, Ivan Dow and wife Jessie of Longdale, Norman Dow of Fairview; his sister Nyalene Fortune of Fairview and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Evaline Dow, and one sister, Reola Grammer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, King Hagen Post 51, with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodians.
