Graveside Services for Virginia "Ginger" Mae Broomfield, 79, of Fairview will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Virginia "Ginger" Mae Broomfield was born June 20, 1940 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Troy Gerden and Bertha Verle (Sheffield) Perkins and passed away Saturday morning, December 21, 2019 in the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Ginger grew up in the Fairview area and in September 1955 at the young age of 15, she married Donald Bruce Blair.  Bruce was in the United States Navy and they spent a lot of their time in California.  They were blessed with two daughters, Terrie and Jesse Mae Blair and one son Donald Bruce Blair II.  The couple was divorced in 1970 and Ginger returned to Oklahoma.  Ginger worked as a Certified Medical Assistant, CMA, at the Fairview Fellowship Home for many years and raised her children, Ginger met Richard Lee Broomfield and they were married on December 31, 1985 in Dover, Oklahoma and lived in Fairview.  Ginger and Richard loved the outdoors and spending time with their family and taking their grandchildren camping, fishing and swimming.  She also loved cooking and baking as well as Casino trips.

Survivors include her two daughters; Terrie Blair Shields and her son David and Jesse Mae Blair and her daughter Callie, and her late son Donnie's children Dagan and Dane, her sister Anita Verle Williams, and many great grandchildren.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one sister, and her son Donald Bruce Blair II.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the OMRF Cancer Division with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.
