Funeral Services for Warden J. Dow, age 89, of Fairview, will be held 2:00 pm, January 20, 2016 at Elm Grove Community Church with Orville White officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Warden was born October 21, 1926 on the family farm in Dane, Oklahoma to Enos Worden and Georgia (Patterson) Dow and passed away Saturday, January 16, 2013 at Fairview Regional Medical Center.

Warden grew up in the Dane Community and attended school until 8 ^th grade. After school he went to work on the farm, the farm was his life. On August 26, 1950 Warden married Rachel Smith and they made their home on the farm. To this union the couple was blessed with 4 children, Reva, Wardeana, Anita and finally a son, Byron. Warden, with Rachel's help, farmed all his life. For a short time they ran a dairy and also raised cattle and did some ranching.

Warden loved to coon hunt. He would love to come home after a hard day of work but still find the energy to go hunting. He also loved riding horses and going to rodeos.

He is survived by his wife Rachel of the home; daughter, Anita Dow of Fairview; son, Byron Dow and wife Kay of Mustang, OK; brothers, Vance Dow of Norman, OK and Poter and wife Alresa Dow of Fort Worth, TX; one granddaughter, Kara Dow and many nieces and nephews.

Warden was preceded in death by his parents, 2 children, Wardeana and Reva and 2 sisters, Mary Gosney and Georgetta Levings.

In –Lieu-of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
