Graveside Services for Warren James Carter, 92, of Fairview formerly of Okeene, will be 10 am Wednesday, July 25, at the Rose Lawn Cemetery east of Okeene. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Viewing will be Tuesday the 24th from 9 am to 5 pm at the Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Warren James Carter was born December 6, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa to Guy and Anna (Parry) Carter and passed away July 21, 2012 in Fairview, Oklahoma. Warren was one of five children. He married Hildegard Brickman of Okeene, Oklahoma on May 11, 1946. He served with the US Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII. Warren retired from federal government service as a jet mechanic, having worked at air bases in California and Oklahoma. He was a man of strong faith and a member of the Christian Church of Canton, OK
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Alice Reames, Niece Jeannie Paden, Nephew Ronald Reames, many great nieces and nephews all of Fairview, one sister-in-law Bonnie Carter and a niece Kathleen Hartley of Sacramento, California.
Warren was predeceased by his four siblings, Lowell, Robert, Gerald and Dorothy, his nephew Larry Brickman and his loving wife of 55 years, Suzy.
