Fairview Regional Medical Center

In Fairview, the hospital is not just a hospital. Very much like a school or church, our hospital is one of several “centers” of the communities we serve. It has been here a long time, and many of the area citizens were born here. As children, they stopped by for candy on Halloween, and as teenagers, they had their football physicals here. As young adults, their children were born here, or maybe were brought here when they broke their arm. So it is only natural that a community center such as ours has responsibilities that transcend day-to-day healthcare. The Fairview Regional Medical Center is so tied into the families of the area that we can’t help but do more. We at the Fairview Funeral Home have the same ties to the community dating back to 1936 when it was first moved to 221 North Main. This is one of the reasons we support the Fairview Regional Medical Center and hope you will also.

Gideons

The Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church: Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys, and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life.

OMRF Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation

In 1944, a group of Oklahoma doctors had a Eureka moment. As physicians, they battled sickness and disease on the front lines. But as they fought day after day to repel the same scourges—tuberculosis, heart disease, cancer—they came to realize that it was not enough simply to treat the sick. To make real headway against disease, they realized, medicine had to do more. It had to pinpoint the causes of illness and discover new ways to treat and prevent deadly diseases. So those visionaries founded an institute where scientists could devote their entire careers to rooting out the causes of human disease. Six years later, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation opened its doors. Today, those physicians would barely recognize their creation. With over 300 scientific staff members, including some of the world’s foremost immunologists and cardiovascular biologists, OMRF has become one of the nation’s leading independent medical research institutes. Along the way, our scientists have done more than explore the mysteries of human disease—they have helped develop medications that fight deadly illnesses. They have saved lives. Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes; The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation relies on friends like you for support. OMRF is not a part of any university or state agency and consequently receives no state-appropriated funding. Every contribution stays in Oklahoma and goes 100 percent to fund research. Administrative costs are covered by separate trust funds. Our Gifts, Memorials, and Tributes Program is designed to give donors the option to remember or honor those special people who have touched their lives. At the same time, gifts to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation ensure that our research will continue.
